Missing Miami Teen's Father Pleads for Help in Finding Her

Alexandra Flores has been missing since Feb. 24

The father of a Miami teen who went missing over a month ago pleaded for help in finding her Wednesday.

Alejandro Flores passed out flyers and pleaded for the safe return of his 13-year-old daughter, Alexandra Flores, who has been missing since February 24th.

"She’s my baby," he said, through tears. "It's been crazy, I can't sleep."

Flores said his daughter had run away before, but always come back. Flores, who lives in Pembroke Pines, said he shares custody of his daughter with her mother, who lives in Miami-Dade.

The teen was in a drug rehabilitation program at The Village in Wynwood for three weeks when she walked out and disappeared, Flores said.

Police say they don’t suspect foul play, though earlier this month, Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes said they fear for her safety.

"Not that she’s just in danger, but someone is deliberately hiding her. She has not resurfaced, so we’re afraid," Reyes said.

Alexandra Flores is 4-foot-11 and weighs 115 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Police urge anyone with any information to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
