Woman ran over lane barrier, nearly crashed into another car at elementary school: Police

A South Florida woman was arrested for DUI after she showed up drunk to pick up her child at an elementary school in Miramar, police said.

Lisset Llauro, 34, was arrested Monday afternoon at Silverlakes Elementary School at 2300 Southwest 173rd Avenue, according to a Miramar Police arrest report released Tuesday.

Llauro, of Pembroke Pines, was booked into jail, and it was unknown whether she has an attorney.

According to the report, Llauro was stopped by an officer after she ran over white plastic lane barriers while entering the school pickup line then nearly crashed into the back of another car.

The officer said Llauro seemed "slightly disoriented" and her speech was slurred, the report said. Llauro said she didn't know why she ran over the barriers and denied that she had been drinking or was on medications, the report said.

Llauro's eyes were glassy and bloodshot, she had a flushed face and she seemed unsteady when she got out of her car, the report said. The also stumbled and swayed while performing a field sobriety test, the report said.

Llauro was arrested and while she was in the back of the patrol car "the odor of an alcoholic beverage was clearly evident emanating from her person," the report said.
