New Docs in Case of Teen Accused of Killing Parents

The police documents include photos of Tyler Hadley at an ATM hours after the alleged attack last month

Newly released police documents say a Florida teenager accused of bludgeoning his parents with a hammer showed off thousands of dollars in cash before hosting a party for friends.

A batch of documents in the case of 17-year-old Tyler Hadley was released Monday.

It includes photographs of him at an ATM hours after the alleged attack last month, and statements from friends who say he then showed them about $5,000 in cash.

Hadley has pleaded not guilty in his parents' killings. His defense attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.

The documents say Hadley was habitually truant from school but had no conduct problems and earned mostly Bs and Cs. Evidence seized from the home hints at some mental problems for the teen, including a bottle of antidepressants.
