An acetylene tank may have been the cause of an explosion at an unoccupied building in downtown Orlando, reports said.

Officials are investigating an explosion in an unoccupied building in downtown Orlando that caused nearby buildings to shake, according to reports.

The explosion was reported at 12:30 p.m. at 47 W. Jefferson St., a building that used to store animatronics, according to NBC affiliate WESH 2.

Preliminary investigation indicates an acetylene tank may have exploded, the station reported.

Police said the building was vacant and there were no reports of injuries.

Several streets were closed off as fire officials investigated.
