Plenty of Sunshine in South Florida Thursday

Temps to reach the low 80s with chance of showers at 10 percent

Early weather in the upper 60s and lower 70s will transform into highs in the lower 80s in South Florida by early Thursday afternoon.

Lots of sunshine is expected with some scattered clouds mixing in. It will likely stay dry with shower chances at just 10 percent. Of course, a rogue shower cannot be ruled out.

Winds have decreased substantially from Wednesday when gusts near 30 mph were recorded. Winds from the south-southeast Thursday will be 5-10 mph. As a result, the rip current risk will be low at local beaches.

The dry and warm trend will continue Friday with mostly sunny skies and highs around 83 degrees.
