A mentally challenged South Florida woman who was missing returned home safely Wednesday afternoon, her brother said.
Tyneara Collins, 22, went missing from Northwest 51st Street and Northwest 25th Avenue in Miami on Tuesday, Miami-Dade Police said.
Police and her family asked for the public's help in finding Collins, who has severe developmental problems, according to police.
On Wednesday at about 4:15 p.m. her brother, Robert Collins III, received a phone call from a stranger who saw Tyneara Collins about 10 blocks away from her home, which is near Northwest 62nd Street and Northwest 22nd Avenue.
“I just flew straight there and as soon as I’m getting ready to turn, I hear her screaming ‘Hey Rob, Rob!’ And I’m like ‘Hey, just get in the car,’” Robert Collins said. “And then I see her, she has on different clothes, and she’s saying like ‘Somebody hit me.’”
He asked her who, and told her they would figure it out and to come on, he added.
It appears that she was not physically hurt, her brother said.

But she was found wearing different clothes than the black skirt and maroon tank top she had on the day before, he said. She had those clothes wet in a bag, Robert Collins added.
Officers converged near the house as soon as they got word that she had returned home.
Police are trying to determine if a crime was committed.
