Police-Involved Shooting Turns into a Manhunt

Police are on a manhunt for two suspects who got away after a police-involved shooting.

Hialeah Police are still on the lookout for two suspects involved in a gunfire exchange early this morning.

The entire incident began around east 4th avenue and 25th street, when officers tried to stop a car whose tag came up as stolen. Officers pulled the car over when the driver put his car in reverse and rammed his vehice into two patrol cars.  That's when one of the offciers opened fire.

According to Hialeah police, one of the suspects was injured, but both were able to get away. A chase ensued and the two suspects eventually bailed out of the car.

Streets were shut down shortly after the incident, but re-opened later on in the morning.

Police found traces of blood in the car. They are not sure at this time if it is from when police opened fire or when the suspects rammed into the patrol cars.
