Suspect in fatal shooting "extremely dangerous": BSO

Authorities are searching for a suspect who they say shot and killed a man outside a Pompano Beach market Monday afternoon.

An arrest warrant has been obtained for 36-year-old Bernard Hamp in the shooting death of 23-year-old Luis Jordan, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

According to the BSO, the two got into an argument in front of the 15 Street Market at 500 Northwest 15th Street, and Hamp shot Jordan before fleeing the scene.

Jordan tried to run away but collapsed in a field near the store. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the BSO said.

Hamp fled the scene in a grayish-blue 1995 Chevy Cavalier with Florida license plate #ANHB33. He's considered extremely dangerous, the BSO said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
