Santa didn't have to leave the North Pole to meet with a group of South Florida children and get their Christmas wishes Monday.

Children at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital got to speak with jolly old St. Nick through video conferencing. The hospital, with the help of Cisco Systems, made the visit possible for children who aren't well enough to leave their rooms.

And Santa said everyone he met with is on the nice list, including 7-year-old Evan Rodriguez, who had some big ticket items on his wish list.

"A lot of money!" Evan said, adding he'd like to buy a mansion and a Mustang.

Evan's family said the Santa visit was a special treat from the hospital.

"We have been here way too many times since Evan was four and they’ve treated us like family every single time," father Gerrardo Rodriguez said.

Santa said it's all about meeting the children for him.

“Kids with love, love in their hearts, giving kids, kids that share and kids that want to be kids too," he said.
