Serial Peeping Tom Busted in Miami-Dade: Police

Man exposed self, peered into windows in neighborhood: Police

Police say they've nabbed a serial peeping Tom who's been plaguing a southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood, peering into windows and exposing himself to women.

Jorge L. Godoy, 58, was arrested Wednesday on charges of stalking, voyeurism, exposure of sexual organs and burglary related to three separate incidents, Miami-Dade Police said.

The first incident happened around 8 p.m. on Aug. 29, in the 1000 block of Southwest 101st Avenue, when a woman spotted Godoy exposing himself and masturbating on her property in front of a bedroom window while she was changing, a police report said.

When Godoy saw the woman looking at him, he pulled his shorts up and slowly walked away, the report said.

The next incident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 30 in the 1000 block of Southwest 99th Place, when a woman getting out of the shower found the blinds to her window partially open.

When she went to close the blinds, she noticed something outside her window and leaned into it and came "eye to eye" with Godoy, who was standing outside looking into her home, the report said.

The victim screamed "Give me the gun!" to someone else in the house and Godoy fled the scene running, the report said.

That same day around 11:30 p.m., at a different residence in the 1000 block of Southwest 101st Avenue, a woman said she walked outside her home and spotted Godoy on her property looking into her daughter's bedroom window, the report said.

When Godoy saw the woman, he hopped onto his orange bicycle and rode off, the report said. A week later, when the woman was cleaning her yard, she found a used condom near her daughter's bedroom window, the report said.

The woman told police she had seen Godoy on her property on previous occasions, the report said.

On Sept. 1, Godoy was spotted by a witness approaching the house he'd been spotted at on Aug. 29, the report said. The witness said she watched Godoy enter the property and look into a bedroom window and she called the homeowner to tell her.

The victim went outside and confronted Godoy, who walked away and got onto a bicycle and rode off, the report said. Before he rode off, Godoy told the victim that her daughter had seen his penis previously while he was urinating on her property, the report said.

A few days later, when the victim had a gardener come to her home to trim the bushes in front of her daughter's window, the gardener found a used condom near the window, the report said.

All of the victims were able to identify Godoy through a photo lineup, the report said. Godoy denied the allegations after his arrest.

Godoy was being held on $60,000 bond Friday. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.

Police said there could be more victims and they're asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
