Teen Accused in Fatal Miami Gardens Gas Station Shooting Held Without Bond

Wayne Williams appeared in court for the three-hour hearing

A teenager accused of a carjacking that ended in the murder of  two people at a Miami Gardens gas station in July will continue to be held without bond, a judge ruled Thursday.

Wayne Williams appeared in court for the three-hour hearing and is currently being held in Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to a jail spokeswoman.

Williams has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of armed car jacking, one count of armed robbery conspiracy and one count of armed burglary with assault, authorities said.

Williams and Dylan McFarlane have been charged for the deaths of Julian Soler and Kennia Duran, who both were gunned down at a Mobil Mart gas station July 25.

Eric Ellington was arrested in connection with the crime. Police said he was the gunman that pulled Soler out of his Ford Mustang and shot him at point blank range 11 times.

Williams shot 24-year-old Duran for no reason, authorities said. McFarlane was the driver of the getaway car, police said.

Ellington told detectives that he shot 23-year-old Soler because he "didn't look scared enough" during the carjacking, Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle had said.

Police said the three teens went on a crime spree that evening, stealing a Nissan Pathfinder, carjacking a Cadillac Escalade and ending the night with the murders at the gas station.
