A teenage driver pressed the gas and took off as he was while getting a ticket, dragging a Miami Springs officer for several feet on Thursday.
The officer was thorwn onto the pavement and the driver fled. But a short time later, the vehicle was found abandoned in storage yard along the Miami River.
The 15-year-old suspect was taken into custody, police said.
No other information was immediately available.
