Two traffic accidents occurred Thursday morning on Sunrise Boulevard in Broward.
One person was being treated for injuries after an 18-wheeler overturned at State Road 7/U.S. 441 and Sunrise Boulevard near Plantation.
All northbound lanes on State Road 7 were expected to remain shut down for several hours.
A Fort Lauderdale Police cruiser collided with a motorcycle early Thursday morning on Sunrise Boulevard and Powerline Road just before 6 a.m., according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
The officer was responding to a nearby call when the cruiser and motorcycle collided.
The motorcycle driver received non-threatening injuries and the police officer was uninjured, officials said.
Westbound lanes on Sunrise Boulevard were shut down as of 7 a.m.
