Weather Forecast: Afternoon Showers and Storms Wednesday in South Florida

Drier pattern should move in towards the weekend

An area of low pressure continued to swirl just east of the Florida peninsula Wednesday morning, keeping shower and afternoon thunderstorm chances in the South Florida forecast.

For the next two afternoons, unsettled conditions will hold on across the area, aiding in the development of thunderstorms.

A quieter, drier pattern should move in towards the weekend as highs return to the lower 90s.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with afternoon showers and thunderstorms and highs around 88. Thursday will remain the same but the storms will be isolated by Friday.
