Broward Extends Cold Weather Advisory

Temperatures started out in the 40s in South Florida Friday morning, but are expected to warm into the mid 60s later in the day.

Conditions will be mostly sunny and dry. Friday night won't be as chilly but will see lows around 50.


High pressure has taken control, leaving South Florida with a northwest wind which continues to drag in drier and cooler air. A weak front will swing through for Saturday but it will be a dry frontal passage, leaving temperatures back into the 40s early Sunday morning. 

Broward County extended the cold weather emergency until 8 a.m. on Sunday. So, people experiencing homelessness can report to the following loations at 6:30 p.m.to be picked up to be transported to shelters for the evenings. If the weather changes this may be canceled.

Dry conditions will continue for the start of the work week with temperatures slowly rebounding back into the mid to low 70s.
