Wet weather pattern to stick around this week

A wet weather pattern becomes better established Tuesday as tropical moisture surges back into South Florida.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible each and every day this week with some locally heavy downpours possible.

While some sunshine will possible each day, showers are likely to win out each day this week in the pattern that’s unfolding for the region.

The threat for rip currents will stay in place on our beaches as strong high pressure remains anchored off shore, feeding in the breeze.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Locally heavy downpours are possible, as temperatures reach 85.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs around 84. Thursday will stay partly sunny, again with scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs around 84.

By Friday, expect partly sunny conditions with scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs around 85.
