Weather Forecast: Wet Friday in South Florida

Expect mostly cloudy conditions with isolated showers and highs around 83.

Overnight showers left an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain across the South Florida area Friday morning, in addition to the 1 to 4 inches of rain that fell Thursday night.

Thankfully it’s an improving trend for the next few days as high pressure briefly builds in to bring a calm to the pattern Saturday.

But for Friday, expect mostly cloudy conditions with isolated showers and highs around 83.

Some flooding was reported early Friday in the area of State Road 924 westbound at Northwest 32nd Avenue and on I-595 at University Drive.

The next cold front, slated for Sunday, will bring in windy conditions to South Florida but leave behind any cold air.

The front will dial back lows in the upper 60s briefly for Monday morning.

Temperatures will quickly moderate in the wake of this front with highs next week rebounding into the lower 80s.
