Woman Asked for ID Flashes Cops Instead: Report

Disorderly conduct charges for woman who identified self with breasts

A Vero Beach woman who took her top off and exposed her chest when she was asked for identification by a police officer was arrested on disorderly conduct charges, authorities said.

Susan B. Stickle, 31, was arrested on March 25 for the ill-timed exhibitionism, according to an Indian River County Sheriff's Office report obtained by TCPalm.

According to the report, a deputy responding to a possible burglary call heard breaking glass and yelling and found Stickle and 44-year-old Eric Bachman standing on the front porch of a home.

The two "appeared to be intoxicated by drugs and alcohol, the subjects were loud, belligerent and clearly had no regard for the community in which they were located," the report said.

Bachman started yelling at the deputy, who told the pair to calm down and ordered Stickle to put her hands on a nearby car, the report said.

But instead of putting her hands on the car, Stickle started hugging Bachman and refused to let go of him, yelling slurred expletives and resisting the deputy's attempts to separate them, the report said.

The deputy was able to pull Stickle off Bachman and asked her for identification. Rather than pulling out an ID, Stickle decided to pull off her top, the report said.

"The female yelled that she had no ID and pulled her shirt completely off and exposed her bare breast to me and the other officers on scene," the report said.

When Stickle was asked to put her shirt back on, she became irate and instigated Bachman, who became belligerent, according to the report.

The two were finally taken into custody, but continued to yell and cause a ruckus at the jail, the report said.

Both Stickle and Bachman were charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence and later released on bond.
