Chris Brown's Manager: I'm No Sexting Cougar

Manager denies sending sexy text that lead to beating

Chris Brown's manager said she is not sleeping with her client and denied that she is the mystery woman behind the sexy text that allegedly sparked Rihanna's brutal beatdown, according to reports.

Tina Davis, 39, shot down a report that sent Brown a racy message and denied rumors the pair had a two-year fling with the teen R&B singer.

"The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client," Davis' lawyer Marshall Grossman told the New York  Daily News. "There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false."

He said "there are no e-mails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports."

An industry source told the paper that the identity of the texter remains unknown as both artists' camps appear to be descending into states of disarray.

Brown is "upset with his whole team" and is looking to replace his entire crew "starting with his manager, Tina Davis" and Rihanna simply is "not talking to the people on her team" and refuses to clear up media reports, sources told the New York Post and Daily News.

A source said Brown is reportedly fuming over his apology and wanted to do it "much earlier," saying "he was upset when the apology was initially released because it sounded so insincere," the Post reported.

"Rihanna is just not talking to the people on her team. Chris also isn't talking to his management. Everyone is waiting for them to clear up all the questions and reports. But neither of them is communicating," an insider told the News.

Rihanna, 21, was bruised and bloodied allegedly at the hands of Brown on Feb. 8 when the two began to argue after the pop princess read a three-page text on her boyfriend's cell phone that was from "a woman Brown had a previous sexual relationship," LA cops said.

Rihanna reportedly slapped Brown after reading the message as the two drove in his rented Lamborghini. Brown is said to have retaliated by trying to push her out of the door and punching her multiple times.

"I'm going to beat the s--t out of you when we get home!" he reportedly threatened. "You wait and see!"

Rihanna told cops that Brown had hit her before the pre-Grammy night incident and that the fights were growing more violent each time. However, a source closed to couple said those incidents were not as bad as they have been made out to be.

Rihanna and Brown have reportedly reconciled since the incident and have been holed up in a California studio for several days recording a duet that Brown is hoping to release on his new album slated to come out later this year, E! News reported

The yet-to-be-titled song will be about relationships and was penned by Rihanna before the fight -- though Brown wasn't originally going to sing on the track, Usmagazine.com reported.

"The theme is about being stronger and growing stronger in a relationship," a source told the publication. "The funny thing is, the song expresses the emotions that both Chris and Rihanna are feeling at this moment -- facing challenges and overcoming the ups and downs of a relationship in which you become stronger."

The couple has been working with award-winning record producer Polow Da Don at a Santa Monica recording studio, according to the site.

A source told TMZ  the recording sessions were "very, very emotional ... the feeling in the room was pure love," and that the singing couple were "playfully touching each other."

TMZ also reported that the song had been written for Rihanna before the scandalous fight and producers believed the track would be a perfect duet with Brown because it deals with overcoming challenges as a couple.

Brown also withdrew from the list of nominees at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards even though the purveyors of pint-sized programming said that they would not remove him the list, according to reports.

"Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song," TMZ reported Brown's rep said in a statement. "Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated."

The statement also said that once Brown was finished with legal proceedings he would reach out to fans.
