Super Bowl Sunday is second only to Thanksgiving in the amount of food Americans consume in one day, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Millions of Americans order out on Super Bowl Sunday, and according to the Cancer Project research: 58 percent order pizza, 50 percent order wings and 20 percent order hoagies or sandwiches.
The extremely high levels of calories, fat, cholesterol and sodium should scare you away from ordering in these five items:
1. Deep Dish MeatZZa Feast—Domino's Pizza
2. The Meats Pan Crust Pizza—Papa John's
3. Creamy Chicken Alfredo Baked Tuscani Pasta—Pizza Hut
4. Tuna Melt—Quiznos
5. Honey BBQ Wings—KFC
The Deep Dish MeatZZa Feast, which contains an extra layer of high-fat cheese, pepperoni, ham, beef, and Italian sausage, topped the list because a single serving contains 430 calories, 22 grams of fat, and a whopping 1,440 milligrams of sodium--more than half the daily maximum.
According to the Cancer Project, even a single very high-fat meal can increase the risk of a heart attack, according to some research, and sports fans are already at increased danger of a heart attack while watching stressful sporting events.
