Taco Bell Boss Found Dead in Restaurant

The body found inside an Oakland Park restaurant was the boss

Authorities say the manager of a South Florida Taco Bell was found dead inside the restaurant on Monday morning.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said that co-workers called them Monday morning to report that they found Tikkitress Johnson, 39,
unresponsive on the floor. Authorities arrived at the Oakland Park location and confirmed she was dead.

BSO officials initially said the call was for a fall injury, but now suspect foul play and they are investigating the death. They are not yet releasing how she was killed, but a spokesperson said the motive was likely robbery.

Police are looking for two men who they believe pretended to be looking for work. The suspects likely told Johnson they wanted to fill out a job application, which gained them early access inside the restaurant, according to a Sun-Sentinel report. Police are also not telling if anything was taken.

Johnson, who had been an employee of the Taco Bell food chain for more than two decades, was mourned by family and employees after the news broke.

Taco Bell spokesman Rob Poetsch said in an e-mail that the company's "heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of the victim and all of those throughout the community who have been affected by this unfortunate tragedy."
