A elderly woman was nearly killed Tuesday when a driver crashed a pickup truck into a house in Northwest Miami-Dade.
Ana Delia Pairol, 78, was sitting in her living room with her back against the wall when a blue Chevy Avalanche came barreling in.
The house was left in shambles; Pairol left bloodied and distraught.
Pairol's son, Omar Ramos, says he was in the bathroom when he heard a loud noise that sounded like an explosion. He says he then saw his mother on the floor screaming.
The 78-year old was rushed to the hospital with several injuries. She is expected to stay in the hospital for a few days.
Ramos believes the male driver was not hurt.
Police have not said if the driver faces any charges.
