One person was shot and killed and another was stabbed during a fight at a bar in southwest Miami-Dade Tuesday.
The fight happened at a bar in the 29300 block of Southwest 152nd Avenue, Miami-Dade Police said.
The person who was shot was pronounced dead at the scene. The person who was stabbed was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center where their condition was unknown.
Witnesses said they heard at least eight gunshots. Family members identified the deceased man as 29-year-old Darius Meriweather.
"I never even know him to hang out in a place like this, I never even know him to be over here," aunt Janet Meriweather said. "This is the first time I ever heard this. I mean, when I see this crime scene, what the hell Darius doing over here?"
Police haven't said what led to the fight or given any other information.
