A man is the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound following a shooting in Miami Beach Saturday morning.
According to Miami beach spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez, officers responded to a call of shots being fired at 1022 Bay Drive just before 5:00 a.m. When officer arrived they found a man suffering from gunshot wound.
Miami Beach Fire department transported the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Initial information received by officers indicates the shooting was the result of a home invasion, Rodriguez says.
Detectives are investigating to piece together the events.
