One student was hospitalized and four other people suffered minor injuries after a Broward County school bus was involved in a crash in Southwest Ranches Monday afternoon.
The crash happened in the 4700 block of Southwest 195th Terrace and involved the bus and another vehicle, officials said.
One student was taken to Memorial West Hospital, and four others were treated at the scene. All of the injuries were minor.
Authorities said the bus collided with a black Camaro and came to rest in some bushes. The Camaro stayed at the scene and the driver was cited for failure to maintain a single lane.
There were 18 high schoolers on the bus, which was coming from West Broward High, officials said.
