A man has been arrested after his roommate was found stabbed to death in a Miami Beach apartment Sunday night, police said.
Jose Antonio Derose, 29, was arrested on a charge on first-degree murder, according to an arrest report.
Miami Beach Police officials said officers responded to a disturbance call at the Parkview Plaza apartments at 7300 Wayne Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Sunday. Neighbors had heard frantic calls for help from the victim and called 911, the report said.
When officers arrived, they took Derose into custody. The victim, later identified as 55-year-old Daniel Rodolico, was found inside the apartment with multiple stab wounds to the torso, arms, neck and back and was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
Derose told detectives he and the victim got into an argument so Derose went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife, the report said. Derose said he stabbed the victim repeatedly, the report said.
Derose was booked into jail where he was being held without bond Monday, records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
