Authorities say one person is dead following a crash involving a school bus near Fort Myers.
The Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release that 34-year-old Juan Carlos Quijada Amaya failed to negotiate a curve in the road and hit a school bus that was heading in the other direction early Friday.
Troopers say the driver died at the scene. The driver of the bus was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
No students were on the bus.
