Reward Increased for Missing 21-Month-Old Jacksonville Boy

A reward to find a missing 21-month-old Jacksonville boy now stands at $10,500.

Lonzie Barton has been missing for a week. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the man who lived with Lonzie's mother and cared for him and his 5-year-old sister is a suspect and isn't cooperating with investigators.

Chief of Detectives Tom Hackney tells The Florida Times-Union that 379 tips have come into the sheriff's office. Hackney says Firehouse Subs donated $6,000 and an anonymous donor gave $500 to raise the reward money.

Hackney says investigators are searching surveillance footage from businesses near Lonzie's home for images of the car driven by his mother's boyfriend. He initially told authorities that Lonzie was in the car when it was stolen. The car was quickly recovered, but Lonzie was missing.
