A man in a wheelchair was killed when he was hit by an 18-wheeler while he was crossing a Northwest Miami-Dade street Monday evening.
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of 27th Ave. and Northwest 41st St., police said.
Police said the unidentified man in the wheelchair was trying to cross 27th Ave. heading west when the truck, which was hauling cars, struck and killed him.
Authorities have not yet determined whether the victim or the driver had the right of way and no charges have been filed.
