Authorities are investigating after a 12-year-old boy was shot at an apartment complex in Lauderdale Lakes Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened around 3:40 p.m. at the complex in the 4400 block of Northwest 36th Street. Broward Sheriff's Office officials said the boy was shot once in the buttocks and was taken to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The motive for the shooting was unknown and a suspect was still being sought.
