Officials are offering a $13,000 reward for tips that lead to an arrest after a Miami Beach resident was gunned down last week.

The reward is made up by the Miami Beach Police Department, Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers and the Prada clothing store, which employed Kamil Patel before he was gunned down Thursday night.

Patel was walking with his girlfriend when a white 2017 Honda Accord pulled up behind them. A person got out of the vehicle and fatally shot Patel, according to police. Patel recently moved to Miami Beach from Texas.

"It's very important to us we find justice for Kamil," Miami Beach Police Department Chief Dan Oates said.

The vehicle used in the shooting had a temporary Florida tag of CCP4319. The last known person in possession of the car is identified as Orestes Marrero, who was reported missing by his family.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
