14 Migrants Wash Ashore on Elliot Key

Cubans detained after they're found in Biscayne National Park

Over a dozen Cuban migrants are being detained after they washed ashore in Biscayne National Park Monday morning, authorities said.

The group of 14 migrants were spotted on the beach on Elliot Key, according to Customs and Border Protection. It's unknown how the group got there since no boats or other vessels were found in the area.

The Cubans were in the process of being brought to Dinner Key Marina by Customs.
