A 15-year-old boy was shot overnight, Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho tweeted out Saturday morning.
The incident occurred near 26241 SW 132nd Ave. in Miami-Dade. The teen was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital South, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
"Cowardly acts of gun violence will continue until community steps up. #SeeSomethingSaySomething," Carvalho wrote in the tweet.
