17-Year-Old Dead After Charging Person, Getting Shot by Police: Cops

He was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital Miramar, police said Saturday afternoon

A 17-year-old who came out of a home armed with a knife and was shot by Miramar Police Friday night has died, police said Saturday.

He was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital Miramar, said police, who have not released his identity.

Police said that officers went to a home in the Tuscany development on the 2700 block of SW 82nd Avenue for a domestic disturbance Friday at about 9 p.m., and as they were interviewing one of the people involved, the 17-year-old came outside with a knife and charged at that person. Officers shot and wounded the teenager, police said.

The investigation continues, they said.
