19-Year-Old Arrested for Using Skimming Devices at ATMs: Miami Beach Police

A 19-year-old has been arrested on fraud charges for allegedly placing credit card skimmers on ATMs across South Florida.

According to police, Manuel Vargas placed a skimming device on an ATM at a bank on Miami Beach, and collected more than $6,800 between July 16th and July 18th.

Police also believe that Vargas is connected to another skimming incident that happened at an ATM in the main lobby of Mt. Sinai Medical Center.

Camera footage at the ATM caught Vargas withdrawing cash using counterfeit debit cards with the account holder’s PIN.
