Authorities are searching for a suspect after a 19-year-old was fatally shot and another man was injured outside a Dania Beach apartment building.
Broward Sheriff's authorities say they responded to an apartment building in Dania Beach on Friday night after reports of gunshots. They found Brandon Jones, of Fort Lauderdale, and another victim on the ground in front of the building. Both had been shot.
Jones was later pronounced dead. A second unidentified victim was hospitalized and is expected to recover. Detectives are temporarily withholding his name and location for his protection while they search for the shooter.
