190-Foot Yacht Gets Stranded Near Miami Beach: USCG

A 190-foot yacht ran aground with 14 people on board Thursday morning near Miami Beach, becoming stranded in the sand, the U.S. Coast Guard reports.

Crews established a safety zone around the yacht, which ran aground just after 11 a.m. in Malloy Channel.

The Coast Guard enforced a temporary no wake zone around the yacht. Boaters must remain at least 20 feet away.

The owner of the vessel has contacted Tow Boat U.S. to determine the condition of the yacht.

No injuries have been reported.
