2 Arrested for Stealing Food Trailer From Sunrise Charity

Two men have been arrested for stealing a food trailer from a Sunrise charity organization.

Charles Lomax, 47, and Dean Merisier, 38, are facing grand theft and tampering with physical evidence charges following their arrests Friday, Sunrise Police said.

Both were being held on $6,000 bond Friday, jail records showed. No attorneys were listed.

The trailer was stolen Monday morning from My Wish 4 U at 10130 Northwest 47th Street, police said. The non-profit organization grants wishes to children suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

According to an arrest report, the suspects stripped the vehicle wrap off. It was found at a warehouse in Lauderdale Lakes.
