Woman, Suspected Killer Dead After Multiple Incidents, Including Officer-Involved Shooting, Inside Boynton Beach Apartment Complex

Two people are dead – including one person who was shot by a police officer – after an incident inside of a Boynton Beach apartment complex Wednesday morning.

Boynton Beach Police officials said the incident happened at the Manatee Bay Apartments, located at 1632 N. Federal Highway, after officers responded to a call of shots being fired in the area shortly after 7 a.m.

Police said the man and woman had been involved in a dispute and the woman was trying to flee when he fatally shot her.

When officers arrived, the male suspect was still firing shots at which point an officer shot and killed the suspect. No members of the department had been shot or injured during the incident.

Additional details on the case, include the identities of those killed, have not been released at this time.

The officers involved in the shooting will be placed on administrative leave while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates the police-involved shooting.
