2 Injured After Pickup Truck Collides With Building in Deerfield Beach: BSO

The extent of the injuries was unknown.

Two were injured after a pickup truck collided with a building at 37 NE 1st Terr. in Deerfield Beach Thursday afternoon, officials said.

The driver of the truck and one person who was in the building were taken to Broward Health North, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. Their condition was not immediately known.

Bertha Pratt was in the the building, which houses a concrete cutting business, when the pickup slammed into the building.

"It sounded like an earthquake," she said. "I didn't see it coming.

Footage From the scene showed a large hole in the side of the buiilding, and the truck covered with debris.

"It's just scary, just scary," Pratt said. "I don't know what to think right now."

The man driving the pickup truck suffered a "medical episode," causing him to steer his truck into the building, according to Broward Sheriff's Deputy Mike Jachles.
