2 Men Died After Being Pulled From Rough Waters

Authorities say two men died after being pulled from rough waters on Central Florida's east coast, the second and third drownings of the holiday weekend.

The Orlando Sentinel reports a 61-year-old man from Lebanon was unconscious when he was pulled from Ormond Beach on Monday morning just before 11 a.m. and was pronounced dead at 11:51 a.m.

In another incident, police detective Melanie Griswold says on Melbourne Beach, passers-by pulled 50-year-old Jose Lopez from the edge of the surf around 12:30 p.m., but he died at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.

Beach patrol says on Sunday, a man died after being dragged from surf around 11 a.m. in Daytona Beach Shores.
