2 More Lynn University Bodies Found

Workers found the remains of Stephanie Crispinelli and Dr. Patrick Hartwick

Lynn University's worst fears are slowly coming true.

The bodies of a student and a professor who were in Haiti at the time of the Jan. 12 earthquake were pulled from the rubble of the hotel they were staying at, reports the Palm Beach Post.

Stephanie Crispinelli, a sophomore from New York and college of education dean Patrick Hartwick were officially declared dead by the U.S. State Department on Friday.

The depressing finds mark the fourth dead body of six people that have been missing since the 7.0 magnitude quake rocked Port-au-Prince. Workers in Haiti found the body of Courtney Hayes on Wednesday and Christine Gianacaci's body was found on Thursday.

All were living at the Hotel Montana and are believed to have been inside when the walls came tumbling down.

Britney Gengel of Rutland, Mass. and Dr. Richard Bruno are still unaccounted for but the university believes their lifeless bodies are trapped under the rubble.

The 14-person contingent from Lynn University were part of the school's "Journey of Hope" program, which delivered humanitarian aid to third-world countries. Eight students were rescued from the ravaged country.
