2 Arrested in Beating, Robbery of Skateboarder: Miami Beach Police

A pair of suspects who roughed up and robbed a man who was skateboarding home from work have been arrested, Miami Beach Police said Wednesday.

Lian Quintero, 20, and Cristian Schiavone, 19, are both facing strong arm robbery and aggravated battery in the Aug. 31 attack, according to arrest reports.

Both men were arrested Monday. It's unknown if they have attorneys.

Officials said a tipster who saw the story on the news called police and led them to the suspects.

Police said the victim, a South Beach tattoo artist, was heading to his North Beach home when he was attacked on 71st Street. The suspects approached the 25-year-old victim, who took off running.

After the suspects caught up to the victim, they attacked him and took his backpack and skateboard before fleeing the scene. The victim received a concussion and had a fingernail ripped off.
