Traffic homicide detectives are investigating whether excessive speed or possible impairment were involved in the crash

Two men were killed in a rollover crash Tuesday night in Davie, police said.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m. near the 7300 block of Griffin Road, according to the Davie Police Department.

Davie Police Lt. Mark Leone said one car was making a turn when it was struck by another vehicle.

Two men who were in the car making the turn were killed. Officials didn't release their identities, or the condition or identity of the man driving the other car.

Leone said traffic homicide detectives are investigating whether excessive speed or possible impairment were involved in the crash.

"The crash scene is very bad, it looks like a terrible accident," Leone said. "We believe that speed was a factor in this and that's why there's so much damage to the vehicles."
