2 Die When Car Falls From Interstate 95 Overpass in Fort Lauderdale

The Florida Highway Patrol says two men died when the driver lost control of his vehicle, crashed into a concrete barrier of an Interstate 95 overpass and crashed to the ground.

The crash happened late Monday in Fort Lauderdale, at the exit ramp to Interstate 595 westbound.

Lt. Alavaro said in a news release that 23-year-old Jacob Horst, of Plantation, and 23-year-old Joey Orologio, of Fort Lauderdale, died at the scene.

Horst was the driver of the Toyota FJ Cruiser, the release said.

An investigation continues.
