Two people were injured after a suspect shot at their vehicle while driving on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. Sunday on I-95 in the area of Ives Dairy Road.
A silver Nissan Altima was driving northbound on the highway with four occupants "when an unknown suspect in an unidentified vehicle pulled next to the silver Nissan and discharged a firearm, striking the left side," FHP said in a statement.
After the shooting, the driver of the Nissan exited onto Hallandale Beach Boulevard and pulled into the parking lot of a diner where he saw a Hallandale Police Department vehicle.
Two of the four occupants of the Nissan sustained multiple gunshot wounds, which were not life-threatening.
