Two sea turtles have been released into the Atlantic Ocean after several months of rehabilitation at the Brevard Zoo.

Treasure Coast Newspapers reports that the turtles, named Sybil and Fred, were released Wednesday at Round Island Oceanfront Park in Vero Beach.

Sybil was found near the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant in March was in a debilitated state, covered in barnacles and had a liver issue. Fred also was found in March with a fractured shell and damaged flipper.

Zoo officials said they also had to deal with an internal infection with Sybil before releasing her back into the water.
