$25,000 Reward After Mail Carrier Robbed at Gunpoint in Pompano Beach

Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward to help find at least two suspects who robbed a U.S. Postal Carrier at gunpoint in Pompano Beach over the weekend.

The robbery happened just after 11 a.m. Saturday in the 4200 block of Northeast 1st Terrace, U.S. Postal Service officials said Tuesday.

Officials said one suspect, who was wearing dark clothing and a hoodie that covered his head and part of his face, brandished a weapon at the latter carrier. The suspect fled in a car with a driver.

Authorities released surveillance images of the car the suspects were in, which was described as a newer model Chevrolet Camaro, dark blue in color, with dark window tints, and a barcode sticker on the rear passenger side window. The vehicle's license plate was described as orange or gold, possibly out of state.

Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455.
