$250,000 Worth of Jewelry Stolen from Store: Cops

The jewelry store is at 1205 NE 163rd Street

Miami-Dade Police were investigating after a jewelry store heist where items worth about $250,000 were stolen by two armed men.

The two men fled after the burglary and 1205 NE 163rd Street, and authorities were searching for them. One of the men had a semi-automatic firearm and the other had a hammer.

But video surveillance caught the thieves and another man, who was seen in the store before the heist asking to see a chain in a glass display case, which was smashed during the burglary. Police were asking the public to help identify them.

In the video, two men wearing black helmets, dressed in black enter the store, one is brandishing the weapon and jumps over the glass counter. In another shot, one of the thieves is caught breaking the glass counter and taking out jewelry, and they leave as store personnel come out from a back room.
