3 Arrests Made in Teen Party Shooting in SW Miami-Dade

Days after a shooting at a birthday party left six teens injured, Miami-Dade Police arrested three men in connection to the gun violence.

Eighteen-year-old Michael Melon, 18-year-old Dontavious Byrd and 20-year-old Travonte Berry were charged with attempted murder Tuesday.

Detectives said shots were fired during an altercation at a house party around 10 p.m.Saturday.

The incident happened at a home located on Southwest 205th Street and 119th Avenue.

Six party-goers were shot. The youngest victim was 12 years old.

DeAndre Foster, 17, was also injured. His mother told NBC 6 the teen was shot in both legs and being treated in ICU at Jackson South Community Hospital.

Three other injured victims were also transported to the same hospital.

One victim was taken to Baptist Hospital and the sixth victim was airlifted to Kendall Regional Hospital.

All victims were listed in stable condition, police said.

The investigation is on-going.
